That being said if your system is set up properly it will work. Just because it plays one movie or streams from Netflix means nothing. So make sure your system is properly set up for videos. They all add different things as well as take stuff out of windows. The codex’s are different depending on what company sold the computer. Mostly because people think Microsoft is great. However, on my desktop which is not properly set up for video I do not get good quality conversions of my DVD’s.
I have it set up just for that and PowerDVD works perfectly on the laptop. I am using my laptop to convert all my many, many DVD’s to digital. I know a lot about computers, their workings and handling of codex’s and filing as an IT Tech.
